Question for TT experts any anybody who had experience with both. At the moment i listen to my vinyl collection with help of Thorens TD160b mkii, but as always there is a time, when you wake up one day and fell that you've been bitten by upgrade bug. That timehas come for me. So which way should i go? Vintage, or modern? These 2 turntables mentioned above have been on my mind for a while, so please concentrate on them. I'm confused enough, so please don't add any more names unless you have a strong case.
I like solid, powerful bass, big soundstage and proper instruments separation. I listen to a big spectrum of music: very heavy metal eg. Napalm Death, Bolt Thrower, etc. 60's, 70's psychodelic rock and classic rock( The Doors, Fleetwood Mac, Cream). I love electronica( Warp Records in general, also Boards Of Canada FSOL etc. I love Jimi Hendrix, Prong, Paradise Lost, Primus, Crowbar, St. Vitus ,but also Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and many more. I could go for hours. So what's the best choice for me ?
