The show featured on this CD is the band s performance at the Texas International Pop Festival held at Lewisville, Texas, over Labor Day weekend, August 30 to September 1, 1969. It took place two weeks after Woodstock. The site for the event was an open field just south and west of the newly opened Dallas International Motor Speedway. An ideal opportunity for fans of this sublime collective to hear this early incarnation in a live setting, the only album to date which provides such a listening experience.
