Gregg Allman will release his first ever DVD as a solo artist in the form of Gregg Allman Live: Back to Macon, GA on August 7 via Rounder Records. The CD/DVD package features Allman and his solo band, along with special guest Devon Allman (Gregg’s son), at the Grand Opera House in Macon, GA from January 14, 2014.
The album features 16-tracks while the DVD will include two bonus tracks along with special interview segments.
“We played, lived, laughed and cried there,” says Allman about Macon in the package’s liner notes. “And I wrote many, many songs in that town. It’s always good to play Macon, man.”
