I've just got a copy of the old "Hifi sound stereo test record" and on the phase tests it seems to indicate that my speakers are out of phase as the image doesn't come from the centre on the in phase test but does on the out of phase test. I've checked all the cabling and on all my other records the imaging is correct. I've even checked using the same album (Goldfrapps latest) as I have it on both CD and Vinyl and the imaging is the same on both (vinyl of course sounds nicer) I know some people are going to reply "if you think it's ok why worry" so please don't bother and just ignore this thread. I want to know as I'm curious as to why the test record says something different. Is this a known problem with this test record or is it me?
