BILL WYMAN: Why did he leave the Rolling Stones?

RK writes:

He was that rare individual who knew he had enough. He didn’t need the money, and he was sick of playing the same tunes over and over and over. He formed a band more to his liking, Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings. A friend of mine was one of the lead singers for a while. He said it was monstrously good fun, and great music.

Though the reason that is bandied about why Bill Wyman left The Rolling Stones was because of the fear of flying, the real reason, according to Grunge.com., is that Bill was sick and tired of he pressure of being a rock star.

Bill Wyman aka “The Quiet Stone” aka “The Handsome Stone.”

When Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts asked Bill if he wanted to come along on the Voodoo Lounge tour in 1994. When Mick and Charlie asked Bill has he decided to leave the group, Wyman replied; “ I left two years ago!”

So Bill opted for a more peaceful and serene life without the hassles of being on the road.

Plus time to devote to his family.
