JAMES DEWAR: John Mayberry asked us if we knew about this vocalist. We didn’t!

Editor’s note: So, two in a row. Earlier today we welcomed one of Howard’s pals – Tony Besgrove as a guest contributor and today another of H’s pals, John Mayberry arrives. I ask myself – is there anyone in this industry Howard doesn’t know in some way or another? I guess not. Anyway, possibly Howard is going to encourage JM to be a guest contributor whenever he wishes. Now then, what can we tell you about John? Well, in the audiophile context, he is apparently the vintage audiophile’s audiophile. As one example, he is the driving force behind https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/lecson-audio It’s a labour of love, and it shows.

Anyway, H tells me that John knows a lot about a lot of audiophile matters but is first and foremost a music lover. No doubt this was why he asked if we knew about James Dewar. Turns out that James was the vocalist on Bridge of Sighs (Robin Trower). Here’s a useful link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Dewar

Possibly Howard can persuade John to expand on this topic and then see if he’d like to be a contributor here – on any equipment / music topic that takes his fancy. Personally I very much hope so. So John; how about it?

Thank you
