I have an SRM-1/MkII driver (normal bias) and a pair of Lambda Nova Signature earspeakers (pro bias), all in good working order. The connector on the cord of the earspeakers fits the receptacles on the SRM-1 fine, and when the earspeakers are plugged into the SRM-1 they produce sound ok (though not as good sound as they would when plugged into a pro-bias driver).
My question is whether using these pro bias earspeakers with a normal bias driver unit will damage the earspeakers?
Yes, it will do damage, permanent damage and these earspeakers cannot as far as I'm aware be repaired as the driver membranes are no longer available apparently.
