John Martyn was a hugely influential singer and guitarist, "a true pioneer" in the words of David Gray. The folk singer, who died at the age of 60 in 2009, was a tempestuous drinker and drug-taker who could sing with the most subtle and soft inflections and had a beautiful style of playing the guitar. His fans will be delighted by the rarities and treats on offer in this limited edition 18-disc box set.
