I have a non technical understanding of headroom, and because of that do not know which piece of my system may be lacking it. Now I have my Castle Howards I find no strain in the upper registers that I was getting through my old speakers, but I am still getting a certain lack of clarity when music reaches crescendo. I am talking full operatic crescendo. I can live with it but I was wondering if it is an obvious fix to those more knowledgeable. While I think of it, could it be down to not letting the system warm up enough first? I do tend to stick a record on 'cold', so to speak.
