COODER / LINDLEY: Two Long Riders (CD)

Two Long Riders (CD)

We are told ....

SUPERB BROADCAST PERFORMANCE FROM THE 1990 MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL

When Ry Cooder and David Lindley played the Montreux Jazz Festival together in 1990, the set performed was an eclectic mix of cuts from Cooder’s back catalogue. Included was a selection of numbers from the great film soundtrack composer’s work in that medium (‘Across The Borderline’,’ The Long Riders’, ‘Paris, Texas’ etc.), alongside many favourites from his classic 1970s roster (‘Crazy ‘Bout An Automobile’,’ Jesus On The Mainline’, ‘Mercury Blues’ etc.).

The majestic interplay of the two acoustic guitars provided for an enticing set running at a generous 82 minutes, which was broadcast across FM radio in both Europe and the USA. With perfect sound quality, this show is now available in its entirety here for the first time on this CD.
