He’s a Italian / Jamaican reggae artist with a unique flow and style. In 2001 Alborosie moved to Jamaica to be closer to his Jamaican roots . His first album was called Soul Pirate . His name was given to him by locals in Jamaica , Borosie which they called him was a negative name as he was foreign so he used it to turn a negative into a positive adding al because his name is Albert. Some of Alborosies best hits are “Rastafari anthem “ , “Kingston Town” and “call up Jah”. In 2011 he was the first white artist to win the M.O.B.O (music of Black origin Awards in the best reggae category. In 2018 album unbreakable Alborosie meets the wailers united peaked at number 6 on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart.
