Formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1975 Molly Hatchet cut their first demos in Lynyrd Skynyrd's 8 track recording studio with Ronnie Van Zant due to produce the first album until his tragic death in October '77.

Turned down by Warner Brothers they were picked up by Epic Records who released their debut album 'Molly Hatchet' in '78 and their best selling album 'Flirtin with Disaster' in '79.

This FM broadcast from Louisville Gardens, Louisville, Kentucky on the 19th April 1979 sees the band at their strutting, confident, hard rockin, southern boogie best.
