It struck us here in the office that all makers must build to a price in order to generate sufficient profit to at the least, stay in business. That’s common sense. Now then, there must be a correlation between core build-cost and component durability and therefore equipment durability. Would it be helpful if makers were prepared to offer a durability rating such as ‘we build to ensure a minimum of ‘n’ years reliable operation?
