Acid Jazz present Judy Dyble and Andy Lewis’spsychedelic folk collaboration ‘Summer Dancing’.
Dyble was the original vocalist in FairportConvention, appearing on their self-titled debut,before joining Giles, Giles and Fripp and thenrecording the awesome UK psych masterpiece‘Morning Way’ under the name Trader Horne withher then boyfriend Ian McDonald.
Andy Lewis was the original DJ at legendary Britpopclub Blow Up, before recording his ownalbums for Acid Jazz and scoring a Top Forty hitwith his collaboration with Paul Weller, ‘Are YouTrying To Be Lonely?’ in 2007. After that he joinedWeller’s band of which he was a member until theend of last year.
The album is made of the very stuff of Britishpsychedelia, an obsession with childhood, thecountry and the city. It emerges from a placesomewhere between Broadcast, the soundtrack to‘The Wickerman’ and Stereolab.
The album is released at the time when Judy isvery much involved in the celebrations forFairport's 50th Anniversary and she will beappearing at their annual Cropredy Festival asboth a solo artist and as part of FairportConvention.
