EDITOR’S PLAYLIST

I got a call a day back asking me, among many other things, for an idea of what I might like to listen to. Something that could withstand repeated plays. My first response was to look at one of my play lists when I was an exhibitor at the 2008 Heathrow High Fidelity Show. On my feet for 8 hours and in the main, talking to thoroughly decent people without any money to spend. "Hey - I'm just a DJ" I thought at the time. Anyway ...

The track listing below proved very popular Some visitors sat through at least 6 consecutive tracks. It’s a reasonable cross section of well-recorded (but very much not audiophile-quality) material and yes, I do from time to time still play this set. Despite at least 50 plays, to me it still stands up well.

First things first; #1 only means the first of a few. It doesn’t mean it’s my favourite.

    1. Hi. I may well be there, primarily reporting on the PS Audio launch of new products in The Sprout plus Vandersteen, Jeff Rowland and other out of the ordinary brands. My mobile is 07870 192618 BUT out of courtesy it may well be switched off during demos and interviews. Regards – Howard
