Massachusetts born in 1950 'Jo Jo' migrated to New York in 1969 to be nearer his hero's the Velvets. By 1972 he had recorded the ubiquitous "Sister Ray" homage...."Roadrunner". Produced by John Cale it spawned a 15 year run of albums fronting the Modern Lovers. Fast forward to 1988 and this stripped bare & raw solo set from Central Park's SummerStage Concert broadcast by WBAI-FM, showcasing the wide eyed oblique charm of this true original.
