NAIM: Adds Roon Ready to New Uniti All-In-One Systems

Naim’s relationship with Roon extends back quite some time and stems from a mutual respect and desire to improve the owner’s experience without compromising performance or sound quality.

Initially the discussions centred around the benefits to Naim of using Roon’s back engine to assist with cataloguing ripped CDs and music imports.  This enabled Naim to generate and utilise crosslinks between rips, imports and Tidal streaming.

As anyone who has used a Naim Uniti Core together with a Uniti Atom, Uniti Star or Uniti Nova system has experienced: finding, listing and choosing music to play is helped immensely by a very rich and detailed cross linking and artist information.

Following on from the initial discussions and implementation, the benefits of also enabling the Roon RAAT (Roon Advanced Audio Transport) were discussed and agreed.

Naim however doesn’t consider this a solution for everyone.  To use this requires Roon Software which is currently $119 per year or $499 for a life license, but for music lovers with large music collections it is ideal. Roon makes owning and enjoying a large collection of music a dream. Music Is easy to locate and play as well as Roon opening the door to even more new music via its cross linking and extensive metadata.

What Is Roon And Roon Ready?

Roon is an independent company producing specialist software currently primarily an audio server and control point. Roon is an incredibly rich and engaging way to browse and organize music. It runs on most Mac, Windows, and Linux PCs, or on other products which include Roon Core.

Being Roon Ready means that Naim Audio’s network players transparently discover and connect to Roon without any configuration, and bit-perfect audio is delivered from Roon to your network player.
