A POINT OF VIEW: For those still using analogue tape decks – particularly Nakamichi

The thread starts as follows: Got my nakamichi dr3 tape deck out the cupboard ,first time in a couple of years and made up a couple of tapes using tdk sa90‘s.really surprised at the sound quality from it.forgot how good a sound i could get from it since anytime i record for the last few years its always been to cd.has anyone else done this and neglected a wee gem like a nakamichi?

    I’m using a Nakamichi alongside a Revox on a daily basis, if anything I’m an even more avid buyer of cassette today than in the medium’s heyday.

    People scoff at this, but then they’ve probably not heard what a totl tapedeck can do with a premium metal/chrome/ferric tape.
