The thread starts: I've gone through numerous phono stages myself during my years in hi-fi. Ranging from (including MC pre and phono stage and built-in preamp) Klyne SK-1, Conrad Johnson Premier6, Counterpoint SA-2, Gryphon, Audio Note, Ortofon, etc to today's OEM from Taiwan, to built-in from CJ Premier 7, ARC SP-1, Melos MA-222, CJ-PV5, CJ-PV6, CJ-Premier 2, Dolan PM1 and many others.
Since the recording technology for Vinyl are coming back with the original presser and there doesn't seem to have much more changes in the RIAA EQ,

What are you thoughts and experience with the phono amplification from the past and the ones today which many of the companies are building to catch the wave rather than to present it as a design art.
